Crisis hits APC Anambra state.

The Anambra state chapter of APC has been hit with serious crisis. AIF Media gathered that Arch Okelo Madukaife, who is the state publicity secretary of the party is leading a rebellious group against the state chairman, Mr Basil Ejidike.
Information available to AIF Media states that Okelo is working hard to scuttle the planned political summit of APC Anambra state scheduled to hold at the end this month. The summit will have VP Osibanjo and Adams Oshiomhole in attendance.
The summit is to draw support and rejig the party towards the 2021 Anambra state governorship election.
A source told AIF Media that at the last State Working Committee meeting that Okelo wanted the state chairman to make him the chairman of the Media Committee of the summit.
But the state chairman opted for Mr Chibuzo Obiako as the head of the media and publicity for the summit. This action anger Okelo and he accused Mr Ejidike of trying to siphon the money donated by Engr Arthur Eze for the summit and that was why the state chairman brought Chibuzo Obiako and others to run it.
Retaliating, Arch Okelo quickly issued a press statement claiming that SWC at its last meeting of May 8, 2019 neither discussed the schedule of the summit, nor constituted any committees for the purpose. He asked the APC members and the public to disregard the online adverts and notices put up by Chibuzo Obiako regarding the summit.
But the camp of the state chairman is not relenting. They accused Okelo of acting the script of Dr Chris Ngige. A source alleged that Okelo had already booked a hotel room at Awka thinking that he would be made the head of Media and Publicity so that he could embezzle the money like he did during the 2017 Anambra state governorship election.
AIF Media investigation shows that Engr Arthur Eze did not donate any money for the planned summit. Okelo like other APC members who are enemies within are only looking for any money to share.
The crisis in APC Anambra is very unfortunate. A party that ought to be wooing ndi Anambra after a disastrous outing in 2017 guber election and 2019 general elections is busy fighting itself.
These same people sold out and betrayed Tony Nwoye in 2017, they are at it again.
