The crisis in APGA has deepened with the latest report reaching AIF Media that Owelle Onyeka Mbaso, the Convener of the Anambra state aggrieved APGA aspirants has pulled out of the just constituted national caretaker leadership of APGA loyal to Chief Senator Victor Umeh.

The National Caretakership is being headed by Chief Dozie Njoku from Imo state. The APGA Caretaker Committee was constituted yesterday at a world press conference in Onyx Hotels Abuja. Many APGA leaders and stakeholders attended the press briefing.

However, AIF Media gathered that Owelle Onyeka Mbaso and his group were not invited to the world press conference where the list of the Caretaker leadership was released.

AIF Media learned that when the crisis started Owelle Mbaso and his group were contacted to form part of the new faction. They were asked to nominate 7 persons into the Caretaker. The names were forwarded to Barr Mic Adams the coordinator of the Umeh faction of APGA.

At the release of the names of the caretaker last night, none of the names from the group led by Owelle was in the list.

Hon Mbaso has been spitting fire telling the Umeh faction that the Caretaker will not stand. He felt betrayed having started  the struggle against the impunity of Victor Oye during the primaries.

It was Owelle that started the movement, "Oye must refund and resign." He organised the aggrieved aspirants forum of APGA and have been at the fore front of the agitation to recover APGA.

According to a source close to Owelle who spoke to AIF Media on the condition of anonymity this afternoon at Awka, the aggrieved aspirants forum will issue a press release soon on their position after due consultation.

AIF Media is monitoring the crisis leading to final burial site of APGA and will keep our readers and followers posted.
