ANAMBRA STATE POLICE APPREHEND SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS OF DR ACHUGBU PASCAL AFTER TERRIBLE EXCHANGE OF GUN FIRE...

It was on the 4/7/2019 at about 10:pm, following the Kidnap incident of one DR. Achugbu Pascal of NO 26 Ngozika housing Estates Awka by gunmen Suspected to be kidnappers, Puff Adder operatives in conjunction with the Command Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) while on the trail of the suspects ran into ambush mounted by the gang along Abba /Ukulu road in Dunukofia LGA of Anambra State.

The ambush led to serious exchange of gun fire as a result of which F/NO.444849 SGT Moses Jacob attached to SARS sustained a bullet wound while one of the attackers whose identity is yet to be ascertained was fatally wounded during the encounter.

Both casualties were taken to the hospital for medical attention but confirmed dead on arrival by the Medical Doctor and corpses deposited at the hospital morgue for autopsy.

Meanwhile,One of the suspect was arrested and effort is being intensified to rescue the victim still in captivity, apprehend other fleeing perpetrators in order to bring them to Justice.

Morestill, On that same day, at about 1:pm, there was an intelligence report that cultists are planning to disrupt the graduation ceremony at City Comprehensive Secondary School Ogidi holding on the same date.

Following the report, Police operatives attached to Ogidi Division in conjunction with Vigilante group quickly mobilized to the scene and embarked on random search of students/visitors.

At about 1:30pm,one Udeh Chiemere James 'm'aged 18years and one Akachukwu Nweke 'm' aged 17years who both claimed to be students of Cave City Secondary School Ogbuinike and Chidi Igwe 'm' aged 17 years of same ogbuinike town all in Oyi LGA were searched and two battle Axe recovered from them.They were subsequently arrested.

Suspects have no reason being in the School than to perpetrate nefarious activities.

Case under investigation after which suspects would be charged to Court for prosecution.

Furthermore, on the same day, at about 8:pm,four gunmen suspected to be armed robbers inside a mitsubishi L300 Bus with registration No ENU 113 YA were intercepted by Police Patrol team attached to Ojoto Division along Nnobi road in Idemili South LGA of Anambra State.

Suspects on sighting the Police opened fire which resulted in serious gun battle as a result,one of the suspects namely Emeka Eze 'm' aged 25years sustained a gunshot and was arrested while the rest escaped into the bush with bullet wounds.

Exhibits recovered from the suspects includes,

(I) L 300 Mitsubishi bus with REG No ENU 113 YA.
(II) One pump action,
(III) One fabricated Pistol,
(IV) Five cartridges,
(V) Three expended cartridges,a knife and other incriminating items.

Suspect is assisting the Police with useful information that could lead to the arrest of his fleeing accomplices in order to bring them to Justice.
