–AS IMO STATE RECOVERY TEAM STORMS FRANK ONWUMERE'S  HOUSE, RECOVERS GOVERNMENT STOLEN PROPERTIES.

In a bid to recover Government stolen properties from past administration of Anayo Rochas Okorocha, as directed by the Imo state Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, the Committee on the Rocovery of Movable Assets belonging to Government led by Hon. Jasper Ndubuaku earlier informed the former Commandant  of Imo Community Watch under Okorocha's regime, Frank Onwumere on the need to return government properties in his custody, and series of invitation were sent to him through phone calls, text messages and other means of communication, but he neglected the Committee.

Following his refusal to hand over government properties in his custody, Hon. Jasper Ndubuaku committee on Tuesday 30th July 2019 stormed the house of Frank Onwumere at Umueja Obinze in Owerri West Local Government Area of the State, in view of recovery government properties hidden in his house.

The calm visit to the home of Onwumere, however turned a warzone for more than 3 hours   following the hiring of thugs by the former IWC Commandant who however started shooting sporadically in the air to scare the Committee, in addition this angered the youths of Umueja community as the mobilized themselves to pressurize him to allow Ndubuaku led committee to do their work.

Hon. Ndubuaku's intervention calmed the situation as Onwumere succumb to pressure and allowed the recovery team gain entrance to recover some of the stolen government properties.

Some items recovered include, I Tata Hilux, I kia salon car, 1 Sienna vehicle, and 1 Hyundai salon car.

Meanwhile the Chairman of the Recovery team have called on Frank Onwumere to return other government items still on his custody, these include; 20 Hilux vehicles, 35 pomp action guns,  Nissan frontier pickup trucks which he collected as Commandant of Imo Community Watch, Jack pick-up and 3 buses in his custody.
