HON. ENGR EMMANUEL OBINNA NWAFOR, (NTU JAPAN), GRACED THE 2019 MOTHER'S SUMMIT
The people Oriented legislative member representing the good people of Orumba South Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Engr Emmanuel Obinna Nwafor in Company of his beloved wife, graced the Anambra State 2019 Mother's Summit.
The event which took place at Dr Alex Ekwueme square Awka, was basically anchored its theme on *PROMOTING GENDER BALANCE AND SOCIAL VALUES.
_Mother's Summit is an annual event that brings together Anambra women to deliberate on issues of common interests to women in the evolving demands of modernity. It also seeks to arouse the interest of women in community development, and also sets agenda for the yearly August meetings in the various communities across the state._
Hon. Commissioner, social welfare, Children and women affairs, Anambra State, Hon. Lady Ndidi Mezue, while presenting her speech, state " _promoting gender balance and social values are two growth drivers to achieving a sustainable development and improving the general well-being of the society._
Meanwhile, In the private sector, greater gender balance is also found to increase the competitiveness of the labour market, boost productivity gains and expand the talent pool from which employers can draw, she stressed further.
```As the state gather to deliberate on issues of developmental concern, it's time to collectively work towards strengthening systems, structures and institutions that supports and recognized gender balance, she concluded``` .
The event recorded many dignitaries, Professor Uche Azikiwe, wife of the first president, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Chief Dr Willie Obiano, Executive Governor of Anambra state, Her Excellency ,Chief ( Mrs) Ebelechukwu Obiano, wife of the Executive Governor of Anambra state, Hon, Ngozi Azubuogu, Hon. Lady Ndidi Mezue, Hon Engr Emmanuel Obinna Nwafor, member representing Orumba South Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly in the company of his beloved wife etc, coupled with so many social activities, exhibition of so many products from different companies.
