ANAMBRA LAWMAKERS COMMISERATE WITH THE NATIONAL CHAIRMAN OF APGA, WHOSE DAUGHTER WAS COMMITTED TO MOTHER EARTH





The Anambra State of Assembly lawmakers, led by the highly cerebral speaker, Rt Hon. Uche Victor Okafor, in a show of empathy and solidarity, adjourned sitting today, to commiserate with the National Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, High Chief Ozonkpu Victor Okechukwu Oye, whose daughter, Mrs Chinenye Barbara Amaechi, was laid to rest today.

Arriving with the rest of the 30 lawmakers, the speaker made way to the canopy where Ozonkpu, his wife and family were seated, as he carried out the duty of speaking on behalf of the House Members.

In an emotional laddened voice, the speaker revealed that the House had to adjourn sitting in other to commiserate with him and his family over the irreplaceable loss. 

_"We know how painful this is for you and your family, we therefore empathize with you Ozonkpu"_ he enthused.

Rt Hon. Uche Okafor went further to emphasize that the vacuum created with the demise of Chinenye can't be filled but the family should find solace in the fact that it is God that giveth and it is him that taketh.

He however prayed that God grant the young soul of Chinenye eternal repose.

Responding, Ozonkpu on behalf of his wife and entire family welcomed the entire House Members.

Ozonkpu noted that he lack words to express his gratitude for the love and sacrifice shown by the Lawmakers.

He thank the speaker for rallying round the entire house and allowing the building of understanding among themselves.

He pray that God the grace to enable them make legislative decision that will push Anambra forward and make the 7th Assembly the best in the history of Anambra State.

South Korean allegedly murders Nigerian co-worker in Lagos September 23, 2019

A Nigerian Activist, Emeka Anudu has called for justice for a Nigerian worker who was allegedly murdered on Saturday, September 21st, by his South Korean co-worker at CC7 Construction Company in Lekki, Lagos state.
