Zaniab Aliyu finally released from detention in Saudi Arabia

Nigeria Mission in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, April 30, disclosed that the detained Zainab Habib Aliyu has been released. Zainab's release came after President Muhammadu Buhari directed the attorney general of the federation to take necessary action on her detention by Saudi Arabia. It was learnt she was falsely accused of drug peddling in Saudi Arabia and was arrested in December 2018 with Tramadol, a banned substance. Investigations by the Nigerian government have since revealed that the drug was planted in Zainab’s luggage by a cartel that specialises in planting drugs in the bags of unsuspecting travelers. BREAKING: Senate Passes 2019 Budget After Jacking It Up By N86bn

The Nigerian Senate has passed a sum of N8.916 trillion as the budget for the 2019 fiscal year — a figure that is N86 billion higher than the N8.83 trillion proposed by President Muhammadu Buhari. The upper chamber passed the new budget on Tuesday after Danjuma Goje, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, presented the report of the committee on the floor of the house.

100 LEVEL FEMALE STUDENT COMMIT SUICIDE.

A 100level female student commit suicide. Dead body of a 100 Level female chemical engineering student of the University of Port Harcourt (Uniport) was today discovered by her course mate in her room at Aluu, Rivers State. According to source her course mate came to find out why she didn’t come to class because attendance was taken and she wasn’t taking her calls. So on getting there, she saw her door locked and she peeped through the window and saw the girl laying dead, she raised alarm and people gathered to break the door. Lo and behold, they saw sniper on the floor and dried blood on her face. The lodge occupants said they saw her last on Saturday. Probably she might have died since Saturday night and only discovered today been Monday. According to multiple  reports, she is the daughter of a former Oyo state Deputy Governor.
